Pre-Major Rules

Spring 2003 Pre

1.  Time limit is 1 hour and 45 minutes.

2.  10 run rule.  (According to Rule Book)

3.  The next inning begins when the last out is made.  Finish the inning once started.

4.  1 additional inning in case of tie.

5.  Play 10 players on defense.

6.  Players must play a minimum of every other inning.

7.  12 year olds are not allowed to pitch.

8.  A batter is out for illegal action when he /she fakes a bunt and then takes a full swing.

9.  Bat through the order.

10. 5 run limit per inning.

11. No on deck batter on or off field.

12. Two coaches will be allowed on the field during offense during regular season.  One coach during post season.

13.  An adult catcher may not warm up pitcher AT ANY TIME.

14.  Base runners must slide or avoid contact with defensive players in the act of making a play.

15.  When a manager, coach or player is ejected from a game, he/she shall leave the field immediately and take no further part or have any contact with anyone in the game.  If the manager or coach remains at the field, he must be behind the outfield fence and cannot communicate with any players and may not be recalled.  If a player is ejected from the game, he/she may sit in the stands until in the care of their parent or guardian.  Anyone ejected from a game is suspended from the next physically played game and may not be in attendance at the game site from which they are suspended.  A coach/manager ejected twice will no longer manage/coach this year.

16.  When a manager or coach is ejected from a game, one point will be deducted from the team points.
