Nestled in the heights of the Appalachian mountains along the West Virginia border you'll find beautiful Bluefield, Virginia, home of the NAIA Ramblin' Rams of Bluefield College. So too will you find former Knights' players Brian Daniels and Steve Woods who have signed to play their college basketball at this private college of just more than 850 students. The Bluefield College Ramblin' Rams, which finished with a 27-7 record and third straight national tournament berth in 2009 recently signed former University of Virginia star Richard Morgan as their new head coach. Coach Morgan has been in attendance at several Knights games this year and inked two players he feels will fit the style of basketball he hopes to bring to Bluefield College. Daniels (above), will also run Cross Country for the school. We are proud that both Brian Daniels and Steve Woods will be able to use their basketball talents to continue their education. Also moving to the college ranks and playing at Division I University of Delaware will be Malcolm Hawkins a member of the 2006 Knights. Hawkins was an All Tidewater selection from Norview High School. Another Bluefield College signee who had a brief stint with the Knights during the last month of the 2009 season is Kecoughtan big man Marcus Jackson. Jackson joined the Knights during the July evaluation period follows teammates Brian Daniels and Steve Woods to play for Coach Richard Morgan at Bluefield.
