Knights crush Culpepper 74-49 as USBA Virginia State Championships get underway

Daquan Browne accepted the task of moving to the power forward spot as the Knights were missing forwards Steve Woods and Joe Hassell because of high school prom committments. The 6'2 guard made the most of his new assignment grabbing 13 rebounds as the Knights built a 33 point first half lead enroute to a 74-49 win. The Knights used intense half court and 3/4 court defensive pressure forcing several turnovers and establishing a frantic uptempo pace that left the Culpepper team reeling, almost helpless as the Knights maintained the 30 point cushion for much of the final two and a half quarters. Brian Daniels led the Knights with 12 points and Kevin Lewis added 10 leading a balanced scoring attack.
