Despite a couple of sloppy stretches marred by turnovers and inconsistent foul shooting in both the first and second half, the Knights were able to regroup in the games final three and a half minutes to defeat the Omega Ballers 58-49, and advance to the championship game of the North Carolina Tournament of Champions. The Knights led by as many as 11 in the first half but saw the Ballers make a run during the final minutes of the first half to cut the lead to 34-30 at halftime. The second half was nip and tuck as the lead changed hands on five occassions before the Knights settled in down the stretch thanks in large part to Steve Woods' 9 points and 7 second half rebounds and the floor leaderhip of TaShawn Griffen and Brian Daniels who orchestrated a delay game designed to bring the Ballers out of their zone defense. Woods and Joe Hassell led the way with 10 points each in the win. Scoring: Woods 10, Hassell 10, Lewis 7, Holmes 7, Browne 6, Daniels 6, Elliott 5, Tatem 4, Griffen 3.
