With Steve Woods putting on a dunkfest and Dequan Browne burying jumper after jumper, the Knights cruised past the Moorseville Predators 62-32 to claim the top seed in the Tournament of Champions in Charlotte, NC. With the win the Knights claimed the top seed and earned a first round bye as championship bracket play begins. The Knights' stifling defense limited the Predators to just 14 second half points, and led to a number of fast break opportunities exclamated by rim rattling dunks for the Knights. The most prolific dunk came courtesy of Steve Woods who turned a Kevin Lewis pass off the glass into a tomohawk dunk that had the crowd buzzing for several minutes. TaShawn Griffen paced the Knights fast break offense dishing out 13 assists using ball handling wizardry to penetrate the Moorseville defense and find open teammates for seemingly easy scores. The Knights jump to 2-0 on the young season with the win. Scoring: Browne 15, Woods 12, Daniels 7, Tatem 6, Holmes 6, Griffen 5, Coles 4, Elliott 4, Hassell 2, Lewis 1.
