Hassell nets 13 as Knights topple defending NC AAU Champs in 2009 season opener

Joe Hassell scored a team high 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Knights to a 70-68 win in their season opener. The Knights were matched against the defending North Carolina AAU State Champion EA Prep Stars who feature three players, Brandon Douglas, Mitchell Hargett III and KJ Ross who are among the top ranked players in North Carolina according to scouting guru Bob Gibbons.
Kevin Lewis finished with 11 points and Juandrico Walker chipped in with 5 blocked shots to help seal the win.
