In their last two games the Knights moved the intensity level up alot and used their superior athleticism and overall quickness to subdue their oppoenent early and often. This third consecutive win used that same ingredient. Forcing their opponent to have to match them in a baseline to baseline sprint, the Knights simply ran past their opponent from West Virginia 87-68.
The ability of guards Kevin Lewis, Brian Daniels and Alonzo Holmes to force the frenzied pace and spot sprinting teammates running the floor proved too much for opposing defenses to contain. Using a series a defensive full and half court stunts and smothering opposing ball handlers, the Knights sprinted to a quick and insurmountable advantage. Tracy Elliott (10 rebounds), Dravon Poittilo (7 rebounds) and Tim Burns (7 rebounds) ignited the fast break with their dominance on the boards.
