With a smothering defensive effort and sense of urgency to get their season on track the Knights came out fired up and simply overwhelmed what had been a pretty successful VBC Eagles team. The depth of the Knights bench and constant rotation of fresh bodies and defensive pressure proved too much for VBC to counter as the Knights kept the pressure on until the 30 point margin had been met prior to halftime. Brian Daniels and Chris Astorga had huge offensive contributions in a game where every Knights player got into the scoring column but it was the overall defensive effort that was the key to the Knights victory.
