Knights finally get in the win column

Brian Daniels took charge of the offense and was dazzling, especially down the stretch where the Knights had been sloppy at the most inopportune times in previous games. Daniels got into the lane almost at will knocking down jumpers and hitting cutting teammates (12 points, 9 assists) as the Knights had their most effective offensive showing of the young season. Tracy Elliott and Dravon Patillo also had solid offensive performances as the Knights used balanced scoring enroute to a 58-55 win. The biggest difference in this game was probably on the defensive end where the Knights came out with their most intense effort to date; on two occassions the York High School team which was probably the best team the Knights have seen all season, was forced to use up over two minutes of the clock to get a shot off. The Knights showed great athleticism and communication defending the constant screening action of the York motion offense which had been averaging 68ppg during their high school and AAU season. The Knights played this event without Lamar Little and Chris Astorga, two members of last seasons championship team.
