The Norfolk Knights is Norfolk's winningest basketball team and the only Hampton Roads team to have won a national championship featuring an all Hampton Roads roster. Since 1995 the Knights have accumulated a won/lost record of 287-135 (.680) with a national championship and four Virginia state championships as a member of USSSA, AAU, USBA, YBOA and Big Shots Recruiting, the nations premier recruiting showcases. The Knights feature some of Hampton Roads' top basketball talent participating in the country's most competitive basketball leagues and it's mission is to provide it's members the best exposure to college coaches and attend the nation's most distinguished events in an effort to provide the ultimate and most rewarding basketball experience. The Knights participate in more NCAA sanctioned showcase events than any team in Virginia. From it's beginning 15 seasons ago with only players from Norfolk, the Knights roster now includes members from throughout the entire Hampton Roads area. The team was formed to provide basketball competition and skills development for area youth while fostering leadership and educational advancement opportunities for it's members. 27 former Knights players have gone on to play basketball at the college ranks including 8 at the Division I level.
