Re: RB Help!!!

The only way I have gotten my players to "hit the hole hard and fast" (which is a must with the wishbone) is to line up 2 offensive line men(you could have the rest of your offensive line inline waiting) and have 2 defenders (line) in front of them, and 1 running back(for the first time i use the most aggressive most disciplined kid) I would tell the running back to run between the two offensive line men whether the hole is open or not and I would tell the offensive line men that if they dont open up the hole the runner will open it for them and they wont like how he has to do it. It may sound brutal but it gets the point across. I started using this because my O line wasnt opening up holes. This works for everyone. After a little bit the defense caught on and started cheating in the hole and still got moved. After a few practices we put cones 5 yards apart and lined them up in between the cones and stood behind the defense (so they couldnt see my calls) and then told the offense what hole the runners were running through (left right or middle) and that was the most motivated I have ever seen players to do there job.
Hope this helps
