Flag Football Help

Use of a blocking bag or pads will help.

Also, be prepared to repeat yourself over and over. Keep reminding yourself that they are little kids....

Don't use too many "football" terms. They don't know what a shield block or cross block is. One thing that helped me with my own kids was to show them what the offensive line does on SEGA. We ran running plays on both side just to show how the lineman will turn the defensive players. It really worked!

For downfield blocking, instead of saying get the cornerback, tell them to "get that kid over there near the sideline".

Keep it simple. Good luck. Let us know.
