Recruiting Players Ages 14-15 Yrs. 165lb Division

By: Coach Scott

I have been coaching at this level for 6 years now and we face the same problems every year.

I coach 13-14 year olds with fairly strong junior and freshman fottball programs in the area. We usally send a letter to all the possible returning players and any kids that we feel we would like on our team coming up from the lower level. We usually put our record and our goals as coaches in the letter. It also helps that we have one of the strongest youth programs in the state. If you like i could fax a copy of our letter to you. It's all a selling game. The kids need to believe in you and the program. I feel the competition level at the youth level is much better than the programs in the schools due to the coaching levels and the amount of new players turning out. In the school levels there are many first year players and the level of competition in less.

If you have any other questions e-mail me or if anyone would like a scrimmage(in the West coast area).
