using the GAM against superstud

We won today 19-6 and held the other team to 70 yds offense. Team coming up on Sat is the best in division with fast quick stud who had 5 TD’s in last game against a GAM defense run by the Reed disciple I beat last week. I don’t want the same thing to happen to my GAM.

The GAM disciple player techniques were pretty good. The only thing that happened was their Ends did not contain twice and stud started at 6 hole and jumped outside. The rest of his yardage was in the 4 – 6 hole and the 5 hole to the other back with stud leading thru the hole. They have a 130 pound TE on right side (95 pound weight limit to carry ball) and he just ate up the LB on that side. They run a simple Dbl TE set with Wing to one side and split backfield, occasional I.

All they did all night were 4 plays. Stud thru 6 hole with lead blocker, stud sweep rt with lead blocker, stud lead blocking for other RB thru 5 hole and reverse to WB. Nothing else, nothing fancy.

In the 6 hole they ate the GAM up. T block down on DT in 4 gap, TE block out on LB, Wing block out on DE who is doing L upfield and lead blocker gets corner who has moved over and behind the LB. Only safety can make the tackle if blocks are made, and usually are.

How should we adjust for this? Should we shift to the WB? We have one extra gap no matter what. Should I stunt the LB thru 6? Really not sure how to stop this simple but very effective play for a good blocking, and larger team.

I would appreciate your feedback. Thanks.
