Girls that Play Football and dont get credit.

I am from Pittsburgh Pa. My daughter plays in a football youth program, she is actually a fairly good player. But she never gets a chance to prove it. I have dealt with male ego's and some woman who dont agree that girls have a place on the field. I recently got into a screaming match with another mother who made the comment to me with my daughter standing beside me who just played her butt off. This woman had the nerve to say to me that girls dont belong on a football field. And to make this even better is that she is related to my daughters head coach. Now I know the reason my daughter didnt have a fair chance at becoming a starter on her team. I didnt ask for anything but a CHANCE that my daughter could hang with the male counterparts on her team. She is a very good athlete. She plays soccer, baseball, football and wrestles. I dont think my daughter should have to deal with such comments from short minded people. After all she has the same rights as her male teammates. It just sickens me that grown people would hurt a child with such mean words. But I am sure if it was their daughter it was commented to they would have a different view on the subject.
