Pay attention Coach!!!!

The "Twin I" formation" has "Twin" recievers on one side and the TE on the opposite side. the backs are Obviously in the "I" formation.
I run strictly option plays. If you want to get technical, at this point of the season, my QB only options the pitch/keep. My FB, once the play starts, takes a hard step parallel to the LOS, then hits the C gap. TB also Runs parallel to LOS awaiting the pitch. My OL, whose gaps are somewhat wide, use a MAN/INSIDE/BACKER blocking scheme. My TE, when on play side, will feign a block & run 5 and out. This will force the defense to cover him. If the play is away from him he's instructed to go find a safety to block. The Twins on the other side will run simple routes. If on play side, the slot runs a slant while the other does a 5 and out.(routes are adjustable according to down and yardage situation).
There is a reason that my receivers really do no blocking when on play side. Eventually the defense will condition itself to play run and thats when I call an option pass which can be thrown by the QB who rolls out after the FB mesh. Or the TB can throw the pass, After the QB/FB mesh, a quick pitch is made. In either case, there is still the option of the passer keeping the ball.
The main point of my offense is to force the defense to play assignment football. An added benefit is time of possession. There is no doubt in my mind that the defense will eventually break down and try to cheat to stop the option. What the DE, CB, LBS do will determine what my next play will be.Its my job to take advantage of the opportunity. Football is a game of opportunities, I just wanna, make sure that we have the ball when the opportunity comes.

P.S. I say run the ball!!!!
