football IS hard work....for everyone!!!..i had to learn that the hard way too...i went from ..screw practice, lets just play...to screw drills, lets just scrimmage...to being the first in line for everything...to being a coach, and being the first one to practice and games to being on the internet try to learn more!!! glad he enjoys it...he'll learn alot faster then...attitude is everything..

another option for playing is if you are catholic, to check out the c.y.o. program...thats a good program, and the kid dosnt have to go to catholic school, just belong to the parish....

best thing, like coach wade says...keep involved in sports year round....i went from football, to wrestling, to track (ran the 1/2 mi. wasnt faster than anyone, so i tried to outrun them..) to baseball, back to football...still do...from baseball (little league for old guys) to football...no more track...only race to the fidge for another beer...and the only wrestling now, is on tv....or with my wife over use of the webtv...which can actually be fun, but thats another subject for another msg. board..lol
