offenses

hey Rob,
saw a tremendous high school game the other day between two of the smaller division schools...my wifes alma mater lost 46-42...only their 3d loss in the last 5 yrs.....the other team ran this type of formation...

OOOXOO O
O O
O O

they faked to the fb up the middle the first play for 7yds....then, on the next play, faked to the fb, and handed off to the tailback running left over where the wing back is....they pulled both guards, and the kid ran 60yds for a td untouched...
her high school ran the option out of a pro set, using misdirectionl..the qb ran 50yds for a td...then, the next series, threw a bomb off of it for a td....it was 21-20 at the half!!! love to combine their offenses and run THAT this year!!! (i taped that game too, i was at work at the time...wanna see that tape too? and i found an old 5th/6h grade tape, where we did alot of shifting on offense...those kids are the same age as yours, if youre interested)....
the first year i coached, we had a "clinic" at the high school with the head coach...he gave us some pamphlets on drills...and answered ??? and it was all very helpful...but, they not had that since....it would be very beneficial to share info like that....youre very fortunate...and i see a head coaching job at that level in your future.....of course, you wont forget your ole buddies here from the ysn (like me, & D,) will you? haha
