HELP ME LEARN?

haha...sorry to give you typers cramp.....its basically "little leagues", right? the Franks Fish Market Cougars, vs. the Holiday Inn Vikings?....theres nothing like that around here...all the youth leagues are either city run (Muny Leagues, theyre called...Muny=Municipal) or school backed...like C.Y.O (Catholic Youth Organization)
i might be in the "big city"
but i sure feel a small towner...had no idea that there were that many different kind of leagues...
football in Ohio is a religion....we start them early here too, but i still dont think we should...oh well.....when i was an assistant in '95, and we won the title, i was really happy for the kids, but also for us..i felt like i won it too.....but last year when we won, i was so totally happy for those kids i cried....we had a big group hug in the middle of the field afterwards...(they give the kids a plaque at a ceremony right after the game)....its sooooo rewarding to see their faces when they make a successful block or tackle, or win a game, let alone the championship....they had lost every game the year before (i couldnt coach that year cuz of work, and a new baby)....but they ALL came back last year, and worked hard, and when we lost the first game, they all had that "here we go again" look, but they hung in, and they won the 2nd game...and their whole demeanor changed...and then we avenged that earlier loss, and tied for first, and they never looked back...they rolled...and i couldnt have been happier for THEM...i was amazed at me...i had never been a head coach, been off for a year, and was amazed i remembered where the field was, let alone how to play...i had to scramble to make up plays...but they really put whatever i gave them to good use...and they really wanted to succeed, and when they do, it makes all the rest of the "other side" of coaching well worth while...NONE of us (in our league) are here for the little they actually pay us...the coaches all adhere to the "its for the kids" policy, no matter HOW competive we really are....haha....thanks again for the response..hope you enjoy the tape...and dont party tooo much sunday...haha
