FORMATION SUGGESTIONS

Man I'm telling you....in the 7yrs ive been coaching, ive NEVER seen ANY team attempt to pull a lineman or even talk about it....till this year..one team had a kid that belongs on the 9th grade team, hes that good...too big to b a running back, he played guard...they pulled him from the right guard spot to lead on a sweep to the left...he made two blocks and was still ahead of the back 59 yds down field...hes the ONLY exception...they won the title....but only used that play, maybe once and awhile...hard enough to get 11yr olds to go forward, let alone pull out...and very none of our lineman are fast enough to lead a play....believe me....haha
id run traps against a 4-4
as well as sweeps...we played a 4-4 in high school...hated it....played a 3-4 when i played for the
Falcons (semipro), but thatd never work in our league...
everyone runs some kind of 8 man front..how successful you are all depends on how good your linebackers are...and how much penetration your line can get...play action, and reverses are the norm in our league...expecially in the 2nd qtr (b-team qtr...5th & 6th graders)...cross bucks have some success out of the wishbone...coach..you need to come to cleveland and hold a clinic for us...or, at least, send me some plays....if youre having that much success, i need to know .....we didnt win a game this year, i need all the help i can get!!!! thanks....
