thanks coach...i was just wondering what Pop Warner was....do you have kids in 3d and 4th grade in leagues there? i dont beleive in that at all...they opened it up to 5th graders here...i dont like that either....i feel 6th grade is early enough for kids...they re reaching puberty and all that and mentally, theyre coachable...7th graders are usually the best to coach, for me...you can talk to them, if you know what i mean....and usually respond pretty well, cuz, mentally they know what youre telling them...6th graders, not so much, and 5th graders are like deer caught in the headlights...but thats the challenging of oaching, i guess....we dont have weight classes...just grades....5/6/7 is one group...then theres the 8th grade traveling team...then 9th then high school...etc etc....we only have 4 teams in our league...but now that they opened it back up to 5th graders, they want to expand to 6 teams to keep the squad sizes down...theres only 2 coaches per team, and 30 kids is alot, especially when most are 5th and 6th graders...i have alot more respect for teachers...hahaha...ive been doing this since 93 and love it....
