Riding the pine on the B-Team

This past weekend my son got in first on 2 gang tackles in the 4th qtr. about 5 yards behind the line, the score was 18 to 6. a After the game the I asked the coach did he see it.He replyed"He didn't make the tackles himself and it was against the 3rd string". We have 2 teams at this weight class(my son plays on the B- taem.I though this team was for the kids who needed work. From what I see the "coach" mostly works with the starters and uses the rest of the kids as hitting dummies. I feel they need more remedial help with the non-starters,there may be a few late bloomers. He basicly plays 12 kids out of 22 the whole game.If something happens and another player needs to go in they usually line up wrong and have to call a time out.A few of the parents have made suggestions but he makes it clear (keep them to yourself).
We all want to win but isn't this for the all kids and wouldn't the starters be fresher at the end of the game and less likely to be injured. Marty P.
