New Footbal Program

By: GS

You could try getting local businesses to sponsor teams. That would cover the uniforms for the team. Usually, all they ask in return is to have their business on the jersey. For larger items, you can go to the larger companies. They usually ask that you give them a plaque or something. Also, it's a good idea to tell all contributors that their genorosity will be acknowledged in the local paper. Another idea, since this is for a new program, is to ask all families with kids participating to pay a one time additional fee per family to help with the start up. We did that this year to help finish our new baseball complex. In addition to the registration fee, each family had to pay an additional $50.00. We also got a local car dealer to donate a new car for us to raffle off. The raffle lasted several months and each family was responsible for at least 10 tickets at 20.00 each. For fundraisers, carwashes are great! I think Walmart will match your profit up to a certain amount if you do it in their parking lot. Also, selling candy outside of a bank, post office or video rental has always been a success. You need to get a fundraising committee together to organize and get ideas. GOOD LUCK!
