unlimited weight 6th, 7th & 8 grade football

I started a youth football program in 1995 for the kids who are bigger than the local youth/pop warner age/weight divisions. We let kids who hear at registration "Your to big to play football", an opportunity to learn, develope & play. Now they can go into the 9th grade high school level with one to three years experience. This has been a successful program, and the kids who have come through are making an impact at the high school level.

Why don't local youth programs add teams for bigger kids? I find that it is easy for the established programs to stay status quo versus fielding unlimited weight 6th, 7th & 8th grade boys. I have heard eveything from we don't have enough kids, we don't have the money or equipment, we dont't have the field space, we don't...! I did not have any of this either but I did see kids turned away at registrations who wanted to play football.
I welcome your comments, critisisms, questions.
