The undefeated
Durham Attack Girls 15U Black Volleyball Team earned the top seed in Ontario for
the upcoming OVA 15U Tier 1 Provincials, placing 1st at the 15U Tier 1 Open at
Jacob Hespeler SS on Saturday, March 25th.

Placing first in
pool play, Durham Attack Black 15U defeated Kingston Pegasus 25-17, 25-12 and
Waterdown Raiders 25-9, 25-13.

The best
match of the day came in the Quarter-Finals against our home club mates,
Durham Attack 15U Red. Coach Barry Johnson helped develop many of
our players (in fact most) and he is at it again with a mostly new line-up
that is showing a lot of promise. Sporting good height and a strong
blocking effort, Attack Red threw a scare into Attack Black, building
considerable leads a number of times in Game 1. Attack Black
demonstrated again that champions know how to win when the game is on the
line, taking a tight match 25-22, 25-16. It is unfortunate Attack
Red met up with us so early, as they won their remaining match against
their cross-town rivals DRVC 15U to finish a very commendable 5th, nailing
down the #6 seed for upcoming 15U Tier 1 Provincials.
Congratulations to Barry and the Attack Red team! more...

Attack
Black went on to defeat eventual Bronze Medalist Waterloo Tigers 25-7,
25-17, setting up a re-match in the Final against Forest City from London.
Again, Attack Black prevailed 25-17, 25-20.

The 16U
Tier 1 Provincial Championships will be held in the same gymnasium at
Jacob Hespeler SS in Cambridge, April 22-23rd. Attack Black 15U will build
on this winning experience to prepare for competition back in those now
familiar surroundings.
