Despite the inclement weather, the U13 girls pulled in a full team for the Bugarski Cup in Kingston. On the eve of their first away tournament, both girls and parents captured the moment to enjoy and relax at the aspiring "Relax Inn". Both girls and parents bonded as the snow fell and spread a cleansing blanket over Kingston.

Through innovative forms of entertainment Coach Kevin’s efforts to maintain the girls’ focus through the long wait spells of the day were rewarded with a Silver medal finish. Kevin was not surprised by the result, citing that the girl’s potential had been obvious to him at the beginning of the season, and on this day, their success had stemmed from teamwork and friendship both on and off the court.

As for the parents, thrilled would be an understatement as they stood by the girls and applauded their efforts, with hopes that the confidence from this tournament would carry them through to the next. Only the Provincials would tell.  Until then, savouring the Silver medal and the memories with it (Coach Kevin’s hair) would have to tie them over until then.
