State College PA - On the weekend of February 4-5 the Durham Attack
U17 boys volleyball team competed in the prestigious Penn State
University Invitational Tournament. Durham Attack was the only
Canadian squad in a field of 28 teams.
Over the
two days the boys played 10 matches, winning nine and losing only one
on their way to the Gold medal. In the semi-final match they
defeated local favourite, Yorktowne PA, in two sets and then
overpowered a tough opponent from Rochester NY winning 25-19 and
25-18.
The next
time the boys will meet up with their US rivals will be at the USA
Junior Olympics this July in Minneapolis.
