On January 14,
2006, the Durham Attack Black 15U Boys competed at the McGregor Cup at the
University of Toronto Scarborough Campus. The team began the tournament in
a very competitive pool, defeating the Maverick Wildcards (25 –21, 23 –
25, 15 – 10) and Barrie Elites Black (26 – 24, 24 – 26, 15 – 10).
Attack Black
proceeded to go undefeated for the rest of the tournament, eliminating the
Scarborough Falcons in the quarter finals (25 – 22, 25 – 22); Kingston
Pegasus in the semi finals (25 – 15, 25 –21); and once again, defeated the
Maverick Wildcards in the finals (25 – 22, 25 – 22).
With a gold
medal in each of the last two zone tournaments, Durham Attack Black will
crossover with the West in the first Tier 1 tournament on February 18. |
