Story by Kelly Edmunds

The girls
representing the Durham Attack Volleyball Club came out strong winning
their first game of the day against the Northumberland Wolves.
However, they lost the second game but ended up coming back strong to win
the tie breaker. What a nail-biter!!! Unfortunately, the girls lost both
games against the Ottawa Kangaroos and then again to the Russell Ravens in
the third set of games after lunch.

In the last
round the team was victorious over the Kingston Cats winning two
back-to-back games which landed them in 5th place overall. It was an
exciting day and as usual, the girls displayed great sportsmanship and
remained positive and enthusiastic throughout the entire tournament.
When not
playing, the girls were seen chatting and laughing with one another and
cheering on the other teams. Lunch and snacks for this tournament
was provided by the O’Neil’s and the Edmunds’…big thanks for the tasty
treats and hey…how about those cookies!!!!

In closing, we
would like to extend many thanks to Scott Handley for his excellent
coaching and positive encouragement towards the girls.
