Coach Evan Williams has been working with the team since early September and entered the 16U age group to gain experience in preparation for their first 15U tournament of the year, upcoming November 12th.

The team welcomed three new members this year, OH Kellie Downing, Middle Rebecca Glancy and Setter/Right Side Ali Loynachan.  All three contributed immediately as the team got off to a fast start, winning both Pool Play games (Scarborough Falcons/Birch Cliff Crush) and the crossover match (Toronto Pink Lightning), before matching up against the Durham Attack Black 16U team in the Semi-Finals.

The older 16U girls prevailed in a well-played match, winning 25-21, 29-27.  The Bronze Medal was a re-match against Birch Cliff Crush, with Durham Attack 15U winning 25-13, 25-18.

Evan, Assistant Coaches Julie & Tom Clark and the girls will travel to Madoc next weekend to begin their quest as defending Ontario and Volleyball Canada-East age-group champions.  This year, the team plans to compete in Canada-East in Moncton and Canada-West in Calgary, in May 2006.
