The Durham Attack 14U Black girls walked into the gym of Huron Heights S.S. in Newmarket,  on December 6, 2008, feeling pumped and confident.  Our first game of the day was against Storm Ice 13U.  The first set was a little shaky, but we came out on top with some amazing serves, winning 25-15.  In the second set we came up short losing a tight game with a score of 21-25.  In the third set we pulled together winning 15-2.

Our next game was against NCVC (National Capitals).  We started out strong in the first set, with many kills by Jaime, and more strong serving winning 25-8.  In the second set, we continued our strong pace with more amazing serves from Christa, Kaitlin, Camille and Julia.  We won once again with a score of 25-13.

Our third match had us facing the Golddiggers.  In the first set we were strong and focused, winning 25-7, however; we stumbled in our second set losing 15-25.  We then battled hard in a tight third game, defeating them 15-12.

The fourth game of the day had us going head-to-head with our very own 14U Durham Attack Red team.  In the first set, we had awesome serving from Christa, Nicole, Camille and Gillian, and some fast and hard kills by Jaime, Autumn and Victoria.  We won the first set 25-17.  The second set saw us once again, serving, hitting, blocking, and passing well, with a final score of 25-18.

The last match of the day was against Storm Twister 14U.  It was a tough one, but very exciting!  We lost in our first set 19-25.  This just made us more eager to beat them.   In the second set we fought back hard, showing Twister what we have!  We served, hit and blocked well, leading us to a 25-16 win.  In the third set both teams were determined to win, but in the end Twister came out on top with a score of 12-15.  These games were very fun and exciting to play.  It was some great volleyball!!

Overall, it was an exciting and rewarding day.  Congratulations on a very well played day to all the girls on our team.  Never forget who we are... Durham Attack 14U Black!!  :)
