Boys 15U Black at 15U Provincial Cup

IThis will be the boys’ second tournament date in 2 successive weekends. In this tournament we play against our own division of 15U boys. Location was Rick Hansen SS in Mississauga. It was an up and down day for our boys in black.

First match was against the Glashan Roos and our boys just did not get up on the right side of their collective beds. One word to describe the effort was “FLAT”. Roos took both games 8 – 25, 12 – 25.

Second match was against the Titan Marauders and our boys gave it a good effort and were able to prevail with scores of 25 – 15 and 25 – 13.

Third match against the Pakmen proved to be a challenge again and we were defeated in scores of 20 – 25 and 18 – 25.

We finished 3rd in the pool and ended up playing against the 3rd place teams in pools A and B.

First up were the Mavericks who provided us with good competition and we returned the effort. Good effort overall but we lost in the 3rd game with scores of 25 – 20, 13 – 25 and 13 – 15.

Last match of the day was versus the Toronto VC. Better performance and a good way to end the day. Scores were 25 – 20 and 25 – 18.

Great serving percentage over the past 2 tournament, but, still struggling in the pass reception area. So off we go to practice that “pass reception” skill until out next tournament in the new year. The boys are coming together as a team and looking forward to the next challenges up ahead.
