It was up bright and early for the 15U girls on Saturday. Fresh off a tie for first place last weekend, we were keen to take on some 16U competition in Bowmanville.

Game 1 was against the Ganaraska Wolves and thanks to some strong serving we took the match with scores of 25-6 and 25-17. Good start to the day!  After a one game break, we met our 15U Red team who were ready to fight. The first game was a close 26-24 followed by a second game score of 25-17.

Then it was lunch and a two hour break before we met DRVC.  We took an early lead, they tied it at 10 and it was neck and neck all the way from there.  Final score for the first game was 28-26 for Attack. Way to go girls!  Not to be denied, DRVC came back in the second game and it ended with a 20-25 score.  We fought hard in the third but it went to DRVC 9-15.

Repool found us facing our 16U black team and DRVC again. Try as we did, we couldn’t bring our play up the notch we needed to beat the National Champs. 16U black won both games of our first match 9-25 and 19-25 and DRVC took the second match 16-25 and 17-25.

The experience was great and the girls will be back in January with renewed determination.  Thanks to everyone who helped out this weekend.  It’s wonderful to see the team, the parents and the coaches come together to support each other.  Happy Holidays!
