On Saturday, November
29th, Durham Attack’s U15 Red Girls team played in Kitchener/ Waterloo to place
second in the first 15U tournament of the year.
Along with ten other teams,
the girls played three games of pool play. The first game was against
Titans Shock U14 team. Attack won both games, with scores of 25-12 and 25-8.
The next game was against Interclub Black U14. Again, the girls won both
games easily. The scores were 25-11 and 25-7. The last pool play
game was against Hurricanes Blue U15. The scores were 25-9 and 25-17.
Attack came first in their pool, and was re-pooled with the top four teams of
the tournament. The first game was against Hurricanes Black U15.
This match ended in three games, but once again Attack came out on top.
The scores were 23-25, 25-20, and 15-9. The second match was against
Oakville Thunder B team, which we took in two sets, 25-13 and 25-21. The
last match ended Attack’s winning streak against Oakville Thunder’s A team.
Thunder took us in two sets, 24-26 and 13-25. In the end, Attack was
satisfied with their performance.
Thanks to all the parents,
coaches, and especially one of our middles, Brooke Eibitt, who fractured her arm
the day before, but still came to support her team.
Way to go Attack!
