15U Red team had a great opportunity, thanks to Vaughan Peckham of Fanshawe
College, to participate in an invitational friendly tournament with three other
15U teams, Forest City of London, National Capitals of Ottawa and Aurora Storm.
Winning 5 out of 7 games was a real confidence booster for 15U Red. This was the
first time the team had a chance to implement all the fundamentals they have
learned from the practice drills and that have been taught over the first weeks
of the season. It helped all the coaches and team to get to know each other
better in a game situation. Some of the players had their first opportunity to
play at the rep level and proved that they have what it takes to compete.
The parents also took the opportunity to get ready for the season.
