Three past Durham Attack members were key starters for the McMaster Marauders
Women’s Volleyball team that just won the OUA Women’s Volleyball championship:
Sarah Masterton, Breigh Cameron and Kaila Janssen.
The
Marauders took the championship game from U of T. in 4 games. Sarah
Masterton and Kaila Janssen were tournament all-stars and Breigh Cameron was
player of the game. All the players contributed but Sarah and Kaila were a
force at the net. They controlled the middle and Right side with their
blocking and all around defence. Sarah was the high scorer with 18 points:
8 kills on 23 attempts and 10 solo blocks while Kaila had 12 points:
9 kills on 30 attempts, two solo blocks and two assisted blocks. Breigh
was player of the game with 11 crucial digs as the Libero.
This was the first women's
volleyball title for McMaster in 58 years!
