On April 5th, the 14U Red team headed to Burlington for a tune up tournament
before our provincial championships. The tournament was a charity
tournament in aid of breast cancer. We started the day off with a close
game against Burlington. We won the first game 25-22, and the second
25-18. After a quick break, we played against Oakville and beat them 25-14, and
25-11. We played the Selects next. They were a very tough team, but
we played very well against them. Unfortunately, they ended up beating us
20-25, and 23-25. Next, we played Forest City. In the first game,
they beat us easily with a score of 15-25. In the second game, we gave
them a much better game, but still lost 23-25. For our last game of pool
play, we faced MAC. We beat them easily with scores of 25-19 and 25-13
placing us third in our pool. We met the Selects again for our crossover
game. The first game was very intense, and both teams played amazing! The
score was tight all game long. In the end, we lost 26-27 due to the
27-point cap. Who knows what could have happened if we could have kept
playing!

Overall, we had a good day leading us into our provincial championships and
at the same time, we raised money for a good cause.
