The Durham Attack
Girls 18U team started their season off winning the Gold medal in the Provincial
Cup tournament, zone C area, this past weekend.

The tournament
was close to home at Notre Dame High School in Ajax. Placing 1st in their
pool, defeating the Toronto Royals and Oakville Thunder teams, they went
on to the quarter finals against the Waterloo Tigers 17U winning in two
straight games, 25-13, 26-24. This placed them in semi’s defeating the
York Region Stingrays, 15-25, 25-15, 15-8. They had a slow start in the
finals against the Scarborough Falcons falling behind 11 points at one
point in the 1st game but rallied back with a final score of 21-25. They
seemed to gain confidence and strength in the 2nd, 25-17 & 3rd set 15-7,
to win the match and gold medal.

Their weekend
success places them firmly in the Tier 1, Ontario division.
