Saturday

The day began with our first game against Acts Elites, it was a slow game, but with determination and exceptional serves (which made us stay in the game) we lost 19-25 and 20-25 against Acts Elites.

Our second game was against the Colts (a stronger team).  We were all ready for the fight, we really wanted this game, with amazing BLOCKS, SPIKES, DIGS, and SERVES we lost the first set 23-25, but even after the loss we came out stronger and we were more determined to win, defeating the Colts 25-23.  Unfortunately we lost 7-15 in the tie breaker.  I thought we played amazing against a bigger and stronger team.

As the third match began we kept the momentum from the previous game, we easily won the first set 25-12 against the Blaze, as the second set began the Blaze were determined not to lose, but we put up a good fight losing a nail biter 25-27.  During the break our coaches were very inspirational telling us that we can beat this team, our girls went out defeating the Blaze 15-8 in the tie breaker.  Thank you Darryl, John and Linda for your encouragement.

Sunday

We got up early in the morning on Sunday for our first match at 9:00 am against the Breakers.  The girls played amazing, and our passing was GREAT!! We gave them a tough game and the scores were tight.  For the first game of the day, we played awesome and won 25-22.  The next game against the Breakers, though we played tough, we lost the game 18-25, which lead us into a third game going up to 15 points.  However, the girls played so good that we had to go way over 15 points and ended up going to 20 points with the score ending at 18-20.

The Award of Excellence ceremony was held at 10:45 am, and it was amazing to find out that Lauren received this award on our team. Way to go!!!!!!!!!!

Our next match was against the Acts Elites.  This was the team that we played first on Saturday.  The girls didn't want to come in 15th place, so they stepped it up and played our best.  We fought hard to win the first game, and we did with the score being 25-22.  The next game that we played, we really wanted to win again so that we wouldn't have to go to a third game, therefore we played hard again and won 25-23, placing us in 13th.

Great Effort Girls!!!!
