It began Friday night with a two night sleepover in Woodstock. It was our
first overnighter together. The girls had a blast doing each others nails,
watching movies and getting temporary tattoos. We had all our meals
together, telling stories and laughing out loud. During the tournament, we
saw the girls move up in rank ffrom 14th to 9th. What a great accomplishment!!
At Sunday’s finals,
we won all of our games. The energy in the gym at the end was
electrifying. The girls had grins larger than a clown. As a parent,
I couldn’t have been more happy or prouder of them all.
Congratulations goes out to Lindsay for winning the “Award of Excellence.”
It was well deserved. The coaches had a tough decision to make, as all of
the girls
were great candidates.
Coach Steve and
Coach Mariela had dedicated much of their free time to prepare for this day.
Their time and patience inspired the team. It was an great opportunity to
become better players under their direction. Thank you so much!
