This weekend was Amazing! The girls worked extremely hard and it definitely paid off in the end!

We opened the day with an impressive 2 game win over the Mavericks, with tight scores of 25-23 and 25-23.  We moved on playing the Eagles next.  We lost a hard fought 1st game 22-25 but came back strong to win the next two games unquestionably! T he next game came quickly and we were coming on strong again.  Unfortunately, we lost with a close score of 22-25.  This didn’t stop us though, we came back and kicked butt winning 25-20 taking the match to 3 games.  We fought hard but in the end Pegasus came out on top with a 12-15 victory.

The girls had an hour break before our next game and Maxine kept us laughing while we waited with anticipation for the results of pool play.  In the end the results were in our favor and we placed first in our pool.  We moved on to play the Astros, and advanced once again with two impressive scores of 25-11 and 25-14.  Our next match was against the 2nd ranked team- the Colts.  This exciting match went to 3 games and determined who got the gold and silver medals, and of course the Attack girls came out on top advancing us to the Gold medal match.

We played right away taking on Pegasus once again.  And like the match that morning we took it to 3 games.  We came on hard and took the first game with a deserved score of 25-23.  We lost the second game but our spirit didn’t die.  As the third game started to end the girls became tired but kept pushing thanks to Linda’s Monday night training. The score was tight and the pressure was on, but we did it once again and pulled through walking away with a Gold medal!!!!!  We had amazing passing all weekend, topped off with great hits from power by Shannon and Zinet.

Kudos to all the girls and parents for enduring 12 hours of volleyball and 16 intense games!!
