It was an interesting day for the 14U Durham Attack Red team at the McGregor cup
Tier 1 tournament in Whitby on December 15.
We started off playing the Bandits at 10:00am and well, I guess we were up and
ready to go because we played very hard only losing the first game by 2 points
24-26 then winning the second game 25-23 but then in the tie breaker game we
just couldn’t come through all the way, losing 15-17, but playing very well.
Then after our break we faced a strong team, the Titans, losing both games 16-25
and 19-25.
After that we went up against another good team, DRVC 14U, and we lost the first
game 23-25 but won the second game 25-21. But then in the tiebreaker we
sadly lost 7-15.
After playing DRVC we faced Oakville, losing the first game 14-25, but then a
great win in the second game 25-19 and an even better win in the very close
tie-breaker game 15-13.
After our relaxing break we played our close teammates Attack Black losing both
of the games 25-11 and 25-10.
At the end of the day we finished 5th staying in Tier 1 and walking away knowing
we played our best the whole day long, winning 4 out of 9 games.
We finished the successful day with a Potluck Party that evening to celebrate
the season with our teammates. Thank you to Darryl, John and Linda for
being great coaches and supporting us through the whole day All
around GREAT JOB ATTACK RED!!
