It was a great day of volleyball for the 14U Red Team on November 24.  The girls played in Bowmanville and ended the day with a third place under their belts.

The first team we played were the Ottawa Roos.  They were a good team, but the girls beat them with ease with scores of 25-14 and 25-17.  We passed, set and hit and ended the game with a satisfying win.

The second team we played was SFVC Falcons.  It was an easy game for Attack Red against the fierce Falcons, and the scores proved it.  The first game ended with a score of 25-8, and then the next game was 25-12.  Great job ladies!

This was a beautiful couple of games for Attack as they played against the Durham Rebels, a.k.a. DRVC.  The girls beat the Rebels in a close first game of 25-23, but then lost the second game with a score of 23-25.  The last game to 15 was a terribly funny and nerve-wracking game with a score of 15-13 for Attack.  The last couple of points were intense, with a score of 13 all.  But, the girls used their heads (ESPECIALLY MAXINE... and I mean she REALLY used her head :P) and won the game laughing.  Awesome job!

We ended up coming first in our pool, and then it was on to the round-robin finals against Titans Nemesis and fellow Attack-ers, 14U Attack Black.  The first game was against Titans Nemesis, a familiar team for the ladies.  Unfortunately, the ladies lost two very close games ending with a score of 23-25 and 20-25.  Good try girls!

The last game of the day was against Durham Attack U14 Black.  The girls played hard against the talented team, but came down swinging along with a score of 20-25.  The next game wasn't so close, but the girls still gave their all and ended with a score of 14-25.  Excellent job ladies!

So, the girls fought hard the whole way through, and ended with a well-deserved third place in the tournament.  Way to go Attack Red!  Also thanks to all the parents for supporting the team and excellent coaching from our coaches Darryl, John and my mom, Linda.  We couldn't do it without you!
