After a roller coaster
season, the girls 15U Black team found their heart in Moncton, New Brunswick.
All of the girls were so pumped for this tournament, that they were unstoppable
from the start. They were determined to hold onto the title that they won
last year, and they were not going to let anyone or anything deter them from
their goal. Other teams couldn’t wait to play them, not only for the chance to
beat them, but for the chance to play some great volleyball.
Parents from other teams
commented on their nerves of steel, their unwavering focus, and their
discipline. As spectators, we were treated to some amazing (and scary)
hits, unbelievable saves and generally solid play. When these girls pull
it together, they are a well-oiled machine that is a joy to watch.
They remembered their
talent of being able to play through rough patches, and come back from behind.
What a class act! The girls played some great teams, (even though they
never met the Titans!), and never lost a game.
Players, coaches and
parents were particularly proud to be part of the Durham Attack Sweep at the
National East for the second year in a row. Thanks for a great weekend
girls. Bring on the west!
