On April
21st & 22nd the 18U girls traveled to Ottawa to compete in their
Provincials and to defend their first place ranking.
The girls
easily won their first two matches in pool play defeating Barrie
Elites and Scarborough Vipers. The close match (17-25, 25-20,
16-14) against DRVC 18U in pool play set the girls into second place
in their pool.
The first
cross-over saw a two game win over Pegasus, while the next cross-over
brought the girls up against Aurora Storm, who gave Attack a close
game in the second game (25-11, 25-23). The third ranked
Waterloo Tigers were strong contenders for the Attack girls in the
semi final however the girls fought hard and played with teamwork to
win 25-23, 23-25,15-12) .
In the
final match Attack again met the DRVC 18U team and placed Silver in a
tough match 18-25, 16-25. Congratulations to this young team for
an excellent placing for the Provincials!
