Monica Dyment
has been an elementary teacher in the Durham Board for 18 years, where her
coaching experience includes cross country, volleyball, gymnastics, basketball
and track. As an avid runner and fitness enthusiast for many years, she decided
to pursue a part-time career in the fitness industry, earning her certification
as a Personal Trainer with Can-Fit-Pro in 1999. Since that time, she has worked
with a variety of clients, one-on-one, as well as in group training. In
addition, she has twice instructed the Half Marathon clinic at the Running Room,
training a large group of athletes to safely and successfully complete a half
marathon race.
The fitness
program designed for Durham Attack athletes will consist of a 90 minute session,
once a week, and will include:
Endurance and cardiovascular training
Exercises to enhance muscular strength
Core
conditioning
Stretching and flexibility components
