Dianna is playing
for Tulsa starting in July 2009.
"Dianna Crane is a kid that is very similar to the type of kid that
we have been recruiting on the outside," said Allen. "She hits an
extremely heavy ball. She is a very strong-built kid who can
withstand the pounding and the wear and tear that a left-side hitter
has to endure throughout the course of the year. She is a kid that
we expect to further develop her shots while she is here, which will
make her an even more dangerous attacker when she can mix those
shots up with the heavy ball that she hits."

Lauren is playing

won the women's OUA championship in 2007-2008 and finished second in
both 2008-2009 and 2006-2007.
McMaster head coach, Tim Louks comments “Her
fundamentals are solid. Of particular interest to me is her blocking
action and her defending skills ... defensive digging, and what not.
Both of these elements will make us better and certainly more
accountable defensively almost immediately. As she gets physically
stronger, her attacking pieces are going to get really good.
She has a tremendous excitement for the game right now because she
isn’t really a lifelong volleyball player. She’s been involved in
other things."
When asked about how Skelly "fits" into the McMaster program, Coach
Louks indicated that "I have had a chance to evaluate and determine
Lauren's fit into our program over the last three years. I think she
makes situations and teams that she competes with better with her
support, energy and determination. She will be comfortable in our team
room, practice court and competitive floor as she acclimatizes to the
university game. I expect her improvement to be rapid as her exposure
to the intensity and speed increases. She has a very heavy armswing and can
control attacking with a variety of shots. She will be fun to watch".
