2006 - Landis Doyle -
Humber College |

Landis is
completing the Bachelor of Industrial Design program and Humber
College and making a big impact as a middle blocker on the Humber
team. Landis was the team's 2006-2007 Rookie of the Year and
was honoured as Freshman Athlete of the Year
for all of Humber sports. She was selected for Quest for Gold
funding and the OCAA All-Star team.
This
past summer 2007 she was selected for Beach Team Ontario, and worked
with Solstice Sport developing beach athletes.
She was
selected in November 2007 as the CCAA female athlete of the
month and OCAA athlete of the week, breaking an OCAA record with 13
serving aces in a single match. "A second year Industrial Design student, Landis Doyle
has lead the Humber College Hawks to the number one spot in the
Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA). As the Hawks’
leading scorer, Landis has been a major factor in the team’s success.
In addition to being finalists at the Ryerson and Sheridan
Invitational tournaments, Doyle lead the Hawks to a gold medal on
their home turf of the Humber Cup during which she was named Most
Valuable Player."

university in September 2006, Kaila was a freshman outside hitter for
Florida Atlantic University. After the first season Kaila
decided to return to Canada to attend McMaster University, and was a
key player in the Marauders' recent OUA championship.

Michael
played for many
years with Durham Attack and as Libero was a team leader on the court,
helping drive the team to Provincial and National medals. He was
assistant coach of the 14U and 15U Red Hawks that medaled at Nationals
East and was instrumental in their success.
UNB's coach says "Leading the
recruiting class is Whitby, ON native, Mike Johnson.... the top freshman libero recruit in the country. He has
the skill, experience, and leadership abilities that will allow him to
come in and make an immediate impact in our league and our program.
Johnson... has been highly recruited by Manitoba, Dalhousie, and

After six years of Durham Attack volleyball, Mathew is heading
off to compete in the Canadian Western Inter-University League.
Mathew is attending the University of Regina on a scholarship to play
volleyball and study kinesiology.

Lindsey played for four
years with the Durham Attack Volleyball Club. She was offered a
scholarship at D’Ouville College in Buffalo and a starting setter
position at the University of PEI. Lindsey declined both offers to
play for Lakehead University in Thunder Bay.

Lindsey has fond memories of her four years with Durham Attack that
provided her with the framework to develop into the player she is
today. She was captain in her second year with the club, and led
her team to a Silver medal at the tier two provincial championships.
Last year at the Ontario Summer Games, Lindsey was the starting setter
and led her team to a Gold medal finish.
Lindsey credits her love of the
game to her first club coach, Janet Cairns, and sends thanks to all
the coaches that have touched her volleyball life.

Kim plays for Marquette University Golden Eagles.

Kim had a smashing
first collegiate season in 2004, earning a spot on the Conference USA
All-Freshman Team. She also was named Conference USA
Player-of-the-Week during the season and was an All-Tournament
selection at the Marquette Challenge to open the season. She had 18
matches with double figures in kills, one double-double on the season
with 10 kills and 10 digs, and a career best with 24 kills against USF.
In 2005-2006 Kim was
named BIG EAST Player of the Week for the week of October 31 -
with arguably her best performance in back-to-back games. She
registered 22 kills, 13 digs and nine blocks in a win over Wildcats.
She followed that with her sixth double double of the season nailing
17 kills, and adding 14 digs in the sweep of the Scarlet Knights.
The
following week
Kim earned her second
consecutive BIG EAST Player of the Week honor. She posted an
astounding 35 kills, setting a school record for individual kills in a
match, while hitting .520 in Marquette’s 3-2 decision over Seton Hall.

Side Hitter.

Kelly is in her second year at Northern Arizona University, where in
2004 she was the only freshman to play in all 26 matches.

chose to attend Northern Arizona University because I enjoyed the
volleyball program, the location of the school, the academics, and the
competition within the Big Sky Conference.
I am currently a Community Health major. Here at NAU, we
practice every weekday for three hours and we lift every other day in
the weight room during the season. We compete every weekend, and
since our conference covers mainly the western states, we fly to all
of our matches."

In her last year at
Pineridge High School Sarah was named the MVP of her High
School Volleyball team and was Female Athlete of the Year.

to come to McMaster University, Sarah has been a starting middle for
McMaster since her rookie year where she was designated Rookie of the
Year on the Mac team.

Lindsay is one of the original
Durham Attack girls, having played in the first two years of our
club. She has recently finished her fourth year at St. Francis Xavier
University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, where she has been a constant
figure on the volleyball team.

Karlene was an original
member of the Durham Attack volleyball club, playing for six years.
During this time she played in all the Ontario Regional and Summer
Games teams winning several medals, and was a member of the Ontario
Provincial B Team in 2001.
After considering
scholarship opportunities in the United States, she chose to attend
Malaspina University in Nanaimo, BC, where she played Right Side for
the Mariners volleyball team. Here she won BC Provincial Gold
and National Silver medals. Karlene was an honours student
studying Physical Education at Mal and obtained her Level 1 Volleyball
Coaching Certification. Karlene is also an active beach
player, medaling in many OVA events.
Karlene recently
received the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award for Community Service,
Leadership, Athletics, and Skill Development from Prince Edward.
Karlene
has returned to Ontario to complete her schooling at UOIT
where she is starting Right Side for the Lords.

has won a Provincial Bronze Medal in 2004, and this year is working
towards a Sports Management Career. She is one of the OCAA's offensive leaders. Karlene is working towards continuing to be active
in coaching and playing and eventually hopes to extend her love of the
sport into a career.

Lindsey is Head Coach of the East Tennessee State women's volleyball

received Coach of the Year accolades for the 1999-2000 season, when
her team won the Silver medal at the Provincials. She served as
