The 18 girls team had a sensational day of volleyball on Dec 16th at
the 19U girls open coming home with the Gold medal. Facing tough
competition from strong teams, the girls rallied together in many
matches, demonstrating skill, heart and determination. Great
teamwork and encouragement aided in the win.
In pool play, the 18U's finished second after beating DRVC 17U's in
three games and giving a match to Aurora Storm with a close 13-15
third game.
Attack girls then faced the third ranked Waterloo Tigers team whom
they beat in a tight 17-15 third game.
The girls continued with determination, to advance to the semi finals
meeting the second ranked National Capitals. The girls played
well in the first game winning 25-22. In the second game the
Caps tipped to win 19-25. Another nail -biting third game,
resulted in the win for Attack 15-13.
The gold medal match saw Attack facing Aurora Storm once again.
This time however, the girls hit hard and dug well to win 25-17, 25-20
to bring home the gold.
