Opportunities to help build your club   A club is built in many ways.   Volunteer house league coaches build the base of younger players entering our program.  Volunteer coaches have a direct impact on the success of the athletes they train.  And volunteer organizers build a stronger sense of community within the Club and give our players the opportunity to enjoy competing at the National level and beyond.  Durham Attack has the following opportunities for the 2006-2007 season. Boys Coaches   We're currently looking for coaches for our boys 14U Red and 15U Red teams.  The Club will train and certify you.  If you are interested please contact Scott Burrows.   Volunteer Positions   We need your help with the following positions: Tournament Hosting Coordinator: Attack teams raise funds by hosting OVA tournaments at Notre Dame.  We are looking for a coordinator who can bid on tournaments and coordinate with the teams that host them. Fund-raising Team:  We have some ideas, and we hope that you have some too!  We need help coordinating our fund-raising for this year.  We have some exciting new ideas like our Made in Durham program that can really take off, but we need you to help us get them off the ground.  Events Team: Like to throw big parties?  We'll foot the bill (and raise funds at the same time) but we need your help to organize our events such as our annual dance.  There are lots of reasons to say "I'm too busy".  But there is one really important reason to say "Yes, I'll help" and that is to support the volunteer organization that gives your child a great experience in sports and in life.  Please help us by contacting anyone on our Contacts page.   Girls Winter House League   Sunday January 7th - March 4th (final night of house league is Thursday, March 8th) House League Coach - 10 Weeks for 90 minutes a week Payment may be received as 15 hours community service or $100 fund-raising credit (if there is more than one coach, the money will be equally distributed.) House League Refereeing - approximately 4 hours weekly, Sunday 9:00-1:30.  Rate of pay is $10/hour. Interested parties must send a cover letter and resume to durham_attack@hotmail.com The cover letter should indicate which sessions and positions being sought as well as whether remuneration will be in Community Service hours or fund-raising credit.  This must be stated before employment commences. SPIKES SPIKES Program for 2006 runs September 17- November 26. Coaches wanted for one hour every Sunday morning. 12 hours Community Service or $50 fund-raising credit. A mandatory training session will be conducted by staff at the OVA during the week of Sept 11-14.
