Is cheerleading a sport?

I believe cheerleading is a sport and so is a
dance squad. I coach cheerleading, we combine
the dance with cheerleading. I would not say
one was harder than the other, I would say they were about the same. It is much harder to teach
dance routines than it is to teach cheers. I combine both because I think it is good to get
a feel of both aspects. I respect your opion but don't underestimate the work that goes into
dance, it's hard work. I do believe the cheerleading part promotes team spirit more.
